I was reading a couple of status updates from friends on Facebook, and it seems that one of the popular gifts people are getting this year are puppies. Not sure how I feel about this.
I am pretty sure in these specific instances that the puppies were not a surprise gift and that the receiver was on board and aware of the “surprise.”
There were undoubtedly a lot of “ooohs” and “aaahs” in the replies by other folks commenting.
One of the dogs was a teacup chihuahua and the other was a boston terrier and beagle mix. I didn’t want to ask how much the puppies cost, but I know a teacup chihuahua price can exceed several thousands of dollars.
Just seems crazy to spend so much more to get a dog that might be a pound or two lighter than the regular sized toy chichuahua.
